Donna Smith is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Colorado College in Colorado Springs CO with a degree in History. She worked as a journalist for Newsweek magazine. She co-chairs the Progressive Democrats of America “Healthcare Not, Warfare” campaign.  Donna is the host of a podcast “Positively Progressive.” She served as the national single-payer health reform educator for the California Nurses Association and National Nurses United for five years. She and her husband were featured in Michael Moore’s 2007 film “Sicko.”
