Jeanne Nicholson is a retired public health nurse, former county commissioner and state senator. She   has a Master’s degree in Community Health Nursing. Her thesis was “Politician’s Perceptions of Public Health.” Jeanne served four years in the Colorado Senate, chaired the Local Government Committee and chaired the Senate Democratic Caucus. She was the Treasurer for the Coloradocare Universal Health care ballot measure in 2016 and Vice Chair of the Colorado Foundation for Universal Healthcare.  Jeanne was a founding member of the One Payer States Communication Work Group advocating for more effective ways to communicate with the American public as well as elected officials about the need to change the way we finance health care. Currently, she is the President of the Health Care for All Colorado Foundation
